Cancer Clouds My Horizon In February 2003, I was diagnosed with Stage 3b renal cell carcinoma, a potentially lethal and certainly hard to treat cancer, if not contained by surgery (nephrectomy). After my initial surgery and its six-week recovery time, and and then another surgery for a larger recurrent tumor in late 2004, the battle was on. Coming soon will be my thoughts on my battle with cancer and how it relates to the energy I have derived from my outdoor adventures.
